Skincare company shortlisted for award

A Cornish skincare company is celebrating after being shortlisted for a prestigious UK beauty award.

Chi Organic Skin Care which is based in Truro Cornwall has been shortlisted by industry professionals for the Organic Category of the UK Health and Beauty Awards.

To qualify for this category all entrants must show evidence that their products are entirely natural and locally sourced.

Chi will be competing against six other brands who have also been nominated these include the boutique salon Foo in Manchester, Red Cosmetics in Bristol and Prime Skincare in Liverpool.

Mary Winchester, founder of Chi said: "This is a huge achievement for us, we are a very small team and this is only our second year in business, to gain recognition for our products at this stage is wonderful."

The beauty awards will be held on July 27 in Excel London.

Chi Organic specialise in producing organic, chemical free beauty products suitable for everyone but in particular those with sensitive skin.

They have a small shop on the family run farm and a newly launched website.

Chi have recently introduced a range for babies and children and this includes the introduction of 100% hypoallergenic silk and bamboo towels and children's bathrobes .
