Health Spa introduces new line of anti-aging towels

An eco friendly health farm in Cornwall has decided to go one step further in their quest to provide their guests with luxury.

To up their quest in providing a totally eco friendly luxury stay for guests, Meadway Health Farm and Day Spa in Cornwall have introduced a line of 100% organic silk and bamboo towels, bathrobes and headwraps to their online shop.

Last year the health spa became the first in England to offer silk and bamboo towels to guests and they have now secured an exclusive deal with their suppliers to be the first spa in the UK to sell them through their online shop.

The idea to introduce the luxury range to the salon was the brainchild of Paul and Jenny Metcaff, owners of Meadway after a trip to a spa in California last year.

Jenny said: "Before our trip last year if someone were to tell me that bamboo could feel anything other than drying myself with twigs I would have laughed but as soon as I wrapped myself in the towel I didn't want to take it off, its unbelievably soft."

Silk-based towels and bedlinen have been used in Asia for many centuries and it is believed that they provide essential amino acids which help to reduce aging to the skin. The towels are 100% hypoallergenic and even more absorbent than cotton.

Due to the fact that there has been no suppliers in the UK the spa has been using a supplier in China.

"We spent sometime in sourcing the towels from both an ethical and organic supplier and we have found a wonderful supplier in China who we have visited on many occasions ourselves." said Paul.

As soon as we started using the towels during treatments we had requests from guests about purchasing them for their own bathroom, unfortunately, until now, we have not been in the position to sell them.

To celebrate the new luxury range the spa will be offering all guests a set of complementary towels when they book during April.
